Platform overview
The Xcentrix Intelligence Platform is a monitoring and alarm system for industrial and agricultural sites. It has three main pieces:
The cloud app
Lives at cloud.xcentrix.net/app. Each customer gets a tenant — their own space in the cloud app containing their sites, users, devices, and alarm history. Tenant users log in here to see live status, acknowledge alarms, and manage who gets notified.
Admins at the Xcentrix level use a separate portal at admin.cloud.xcentrix.net to provision tenants and investigate platform-wide issues. Most readers of this manual will never need the admin portal.
XCore (on-prem controller)
A small Intel NUC installed at each site. It talks to field devices over MQTT and Modbus, evaluates alarm conditions locally, and streams status up to the cloud over a secure tunnel. If the internet goes down, XCore keeps monitoring and sends notifications locally; it catches the cloud up when the link comes back.
Field devices
- XE-DIO164 — digital I/O module for monitoring contact-closure sensors (door switches, flow switches, thermostats, etc.) and driving relays. Talks to XCore over MQTT.
- XVision — a kiosk PWA for walk-up alarm acknowledgement at the site.
- Other hardware (XE-AT1232, XE-DTO161, XE-DTIO811, XE-U6632) covered in the installer section.
Where to go next
